Praise for Walking with William Shakespeare
"[Edwards] provides us with a book, not on local walks, but a fascinating visit to Shakespeare’s life through walks in the areas that were ‘home’ for him." New Forest Magazine

"This guide is not too topographical, not too literary nor too historical, but a nicely balanced tripod of them all. It calls up your warmest, perhaps sometimes most moving, recollections of the Works and, for us natives, the places." The Stratford Herald

"Admirers of the Bard as well as armchair travelers are sure to enjoy this charming walking guide to the places associated with him." Chicago Tribune

"Brilliant—one of those books you didn't realize you needed—you learn a lot, you get some great walks, and you stand where Shakespeare stood, literally, which is a literally awesome thought."
Andrew Davies, Emmy and BAFTA winning screenwriter and author

"This delightful book takes the reader into the landscapes of Elizabethan England which Shakespeare knew, many of which still survive today. It is full of surprises, and will excite both the armchair traveler and the Shakespeare lover who wishes to follow in the bard's footsteps on the ground—in his native Warwickshire, in the lanes of his home town, or in the teeming streets of his adopted London."
Michael Wood, BBC Television presenter and author, In Search of Shakespeare

"In Walking with William Shakespeare Anne-Marie Edwards has linked commentaries on aspects of Shakespeare's life and works with eleven, carefully chosen walks. Part biographical and part practical guide, the book will assist anyone who wishes to put on walking gear and go in search of places connected with the poet/dramatist."
Roger Pringle, Director, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust
